Homework

Homework expectations


Homework reinforces what is learned at school and instills good work habits. Assignments are generally begun in class, which means students should always know the directions of their assignments when working on them at home.

STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO READ 30 MINUTES EACH NIGHT. 
THE READING LOG RESPONSES CAN BE INCLUDED IN THIS TIME.
2-3 times per week, the students will have a question they should answer about what they have read.
This question should be answered on the reading log.


Daily Reading Homework (the reading log should be initialed by a guardian each evening):
Monday:  Read 30 min - complete reading log 
Tuesday: Read 30 min - complete reading log   
Wednesday: Read 30 min - complete reading log   
Thursday: Read 30 min - complete reading log   
Friday: Read 30 min - complete reading log   

READING LOGS ARE DUE EVERY MORNING!

MATH AND SPELLING HOMEWORK WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF SEPT. 2ND.

If you feel that your child is spending too much or too little time on their assignments,
please let me know so I can work with your child toward a solution.

Language Arts: 
Math: 
SPANISH:  Students have daily practice work that is to be done before the following "C" day.
Other:  There is daily homework that should be written in your child's planner.
